I built five paper beetles to talk about creatures that are often overlooked, yet essential to their ecosystems.

Come into my world through behind-the-scenes pictures, close-up photographs of the patterns, and the reflections that guided my work.

I also invited others to join me through a collective work, The Colony. I distributed a thousand free beetle postcards for people to make their own. Over a hundred came back, each carrying someone’s imagination, story, or perspective. As promised, I exhibited them alongside my five beetles.

This book is about that: the work, the process, and the people who became part of it.
