I’ve been dreaming of a way to build a bridge between New York and French Polynesia.
Maybe that’s what this retreat is really about.
I grew up in French Polynesia. A country with 180 islands.
Just 20 minutes from Bora Bora lies Huahine — the island I call home.
Through this retreat, I’m not only bringing you to an island. I’m bringing you into a way of living, seeing, and connecting that most travelers never access.
For six days, we’ll slow down together through watercolor and colored pencil, surrounded by lagoon life, tropical vegetation, local culture, and the quiet rhythm of the island. We’ll paint every day — not to capture a postcard, but to understand color, light, texture, and presence.
Beyond painting, this retreat is also about sharing moments of daily life: creating a fresh flower crown, exploring the island, discovering local traditions, spending time on the lagoon, and experiencing Huahine from within.
This retreat brings together both parts of my life — my artistic practice in New York and my roots in Polynesia — that feels deeply personal to me.
The group will be intentionally small (maximum 8 participants to the watercolor workshop) to keep the experience intimate and grounded.
Participants are welcome to bring a partner or guest who may simply want to experience the island alongside us. Sharing has always been an important part of my work and practice, and it felt natural to leave space for that possibility.
While painting sessions are reserved for 8 participants, guests are welcome to join excursions, meals, and shared moments throughout the week.
